Day 1 – Arrive at San Jose, Costa Rica
The tour starts in San Jose when a Natural Expeditions Costa Rican English-speaking representative greets travelers at the airport. Then, the group will be transferred to the hotel and provided with general information to prepare everyone for the upcoming activities.
Meals are not included today.
Day 2 – San Jose to Tortuguero
Be ready for an early departure as the adventure begins. The trip will be led toward one of the most beautiful areas of Costa Rica, the Tortuguero National Park. When getting to the final destination, you will drive through one of the most spectacular natural sceneries Costa Rica offers: the Braulio Carrillo National Park.
After having a delicious native breakfast, the trip will continue through an extended area of different crops, where pineapple and banana plantations have become very popular. At the end of the bus ride, the ground transportation will change to a boat ride on the Suerte River, leading the visitor straight to the lodge.

Day 3 – Tortuguero National Park
In the morning, take a kayaking Expedition through the Tortuguero National Park. Kayaking in the Tortuguero waterways will provide relaxation when there is a chance to enjoy the local flora and fauna. Complete the day with a stroll through your lodge’s gardens to learn about tropical vegetation.

Day 4 – Tortuguero to Fortuna, Natural Hot Springs
The nature adventure will continue towards La Fortuna, one of the most popular areas in Costa Rica due to its Arenal Volcano. This quiet section of the country will welcome you with beautiful scenery and several unique activities. The hotel’s location will allow you to enjoy a fantastic view of the eastern flank of the impressive neighboring volcano. During the evening, relax at the base of the Arenal Volcano while you enjoy the warmth of the natural hot springs.

Day 5 – Arenal Volcano Hike and Zip-lining
Lace-up your hiking boots as you get ready to hike at the base of the Arenal Volcano. Make your way up on the hardened lava rocks and stand on the path where the lava flows down to the Arenal Lake. In the afternoon, fly through the trees as you discover the rainforest from a different angle. The zip-lining adventure will leave you in awe of nature with breathtaking views of the volcano, the forest, its wildlife, and the valley far below.

Day 6 – Waterfall Hike, Transfer to Central Pacific
Before leaving the area of the Arenal Volcano, hike down to the base of a beautiful waterfall and swim in its refreshing waters. Then drive back to the continental divide as you make your way to the Central Pacific. Enjoy the scenery related to the ornamental plant industry and dairy farming, the primary industries along this route. Finally, arrive at your accommodations and enjoy the rest of the day on your own.

Day 7 – Crocodile Adventure, Carara Biological Station
Tarcoles River is a popular place in Costa Rica with a large population of American crocodiles. For that reason, this real adventure will take you there. It is indeed an exciting experience to have. Beyond the idea of a river, the tour will get travelers through a beautiful and endangered mangrove swamp where it is possible to admire some of the giant crocodiles of the Costa Rican Pacific region and many unique bird species.
After the crocodile adventure, travel to a Biological Station and experience a unique combination of both dry and rain forests in the exact location. Your tour guide will take you through the trails in search of wildlife and exotic plants. Finally, return to your hotel and enjoy the evening on your own.

Day 8 – Travel to San Jose
Relax throughout the morning at your hotel. After lunch, begin the trip back to the capital city, San Jose. Arrive at your hotel and enjoy your last evening in the country.

Day 9 – Depart from San Jose, Costa Rica
It’s time to say goodbye to beautiful Costa Rica! After breakfast, catch your private shuttle to the airport, where you will await your flight back home.
